This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. A survey questionnaire was administered to a sample of 100 Pinay students from various universities in the Philippines. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 students to gather more nuanced insights into their experiences and perceptions.

This study has several limitations. First, the sample size was limited to 100 Pinay students, which may not be representative of the larger population. Second, the study relied on self-reported data, which may be subject to biases.

The findings of this study suggest that "boso" behavior may not be a hindrance to academic success, but rather a potential asset. Interestingly, the results also showed a positive correlation between "boso" behavior and academic performance.
